Glasgow Comets 11 - Glasgow Galaxy 16

Late Galaxy rally too much for Comets

A fourth inning grand slam by Comets third-baseman Santino DeRosa wasn’t enough to push Comets past their home-town rivals as Galaxy came back from a 8-1 deficit to take the Glasgow derby 16-11.

A grey day greeted both Glasgow teams on Sunday afternoon as a resurgent Comets team hoped to take a game from the current league-leading Galaxy.

Comets sent Brian McIntosh to the mound to face off against Jason Stott for the Galaxy.

Edinburgh Cannons 4 - Edinburgh Diamond Devils 5

In the traditional 4th of July weekend matchup, the Devils and Cannons squared off with both looking to keep pace with the Galaxy atop the Scottish baseball standings. However, the Devils were without skipper Bret. Would rumours that he been flown to New York for a medical for a pending trade to the Yankees distract the remaining Devils?

Glasgow Comets 22 - Edinburgh Cannons 6

Glasgow Comets travelled through to Edinburgh this past Sunday to face the 2nd place Cannons on a blustery Scottish afternoon. Both teams looking to bounce back after losses in their last games. However, it was the Comets that would prevail on the day.

Comets once again sent their ace work horse Santino De Rosa to the mound to face the Cannons tireless pitching machine and team manager Jason "Nuke Laloosh" Derr.
